
Former Major League Nutrition intern, Ali Mattia, MEd, RD, LDN, ATC/LAT, CSCS is a Licensed Dietitian/Nutritionist, Certified Athletic Trainer, and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. As a former athlete, sports medicine clinician, and nutrition advocate, Ali has a special interest in helping individuals overcome barriers to a healthy mind-body connection so as to create lasting relationships to food and movement.
Ali received a Bachelors of Science in Athletic Training/Sports Medicine from Quinnipiac University. She then worked as an Athletic Trainer for 7 years at private high schools in the Boston area helping athletes with injury prevention and recovery, where she discovered her passion for nutrition and education. Ali went on to earn her Master of Education with a specialization in Nutrition Education from Framingham State University and completed her didactic program in dietetics at Simmons University. After working as a diet tech at Cambridge Eating Disorder Center in Cambridge, MA for nearly 1 year, she completed her dietetic internship at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston which included extensive clinical inpatient, outpatient nutrition training, and sports nutrition with Nicole Chenard, MS, RD, LDN of Major League Nutrition.
